The Exclusive Beenz: Mind Of Gus

Chiru Labs, the parent company of Azuki, in collaboration with Hong Kong's creative director SK, announces the launch of the limited-edition vinyl toy "Mind of Gus," scheduled for a November 2nd draw.

BEANZ, unveiled in April 2022, constitutes a hand-drawn NFT collection comprising 16 variations of BEANZ, totaling 19,950 PFP.

For those new to the Azuki universe, Gus stands as one of BEANZ's original members, renowned for mischievous yet endearing antics, underlining his inherently pure nature. The ensemble of BEANZ includes Red Bean Toshi, Black Bean Link, Flat Bean Dao, Coffee Bean Johnny C, and more. Each BEANZ embodies a unique story-particularly Gus, who, for some reason, finds himself perpetually tangled in playful mischief.

However, as revealed in an announcement with NFT Now on October 27th, this vinyl toy transcends mere collectibility. Each resin toy comes tethered to a Physical Backing Token (PBT), enabling collectors to delve "deep into the essence of Gus Beanz."

This groundbreaking standard, established by Chiru Labs in May, empowers creators to bind physical artifacts to NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. While most physical items and their corresponding NFTs may part ways post-minting or sale, PBT offers decentralized ownership validation. Anyone can authenticate the ownership lineage of the physical item using a smartphone, bypassing the necessity for a centralized server.

Chiru Labs leverages their encrypted BEANZ chip to fuse their NFTs with their respective items, exemplified by the all-new limited edition Gus resin toy. The PBT platform enables anyone to craft their PBT.

Lam, the creative director and curator of Hong Kong's AllRightsReserved, established in 2013, has collaborated with eminent contemporary artists such as KAWS, Florentijn Hofman, and Yayoi Kasuma. Lam's style has been pivotal, ranging from the awe-striking 16.5-meter inflatable rubber duck crafted by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman to the globally acclaimed 1,600-piece panda sculpture exhibition conceived by French art maestro Paulo Grangeon.

An impressive portfolio of collaboration with KAWS has produced highly sought-after limited-edition toys and grand-scale statuettes, further cementing Lam's standing within the art realm.

Through a special community lottery event (currently open until Thursday, November 2nd, 11:59 PM Pacific Time), Chiru Labs will raffle off 530 "Mind of Gus" resin figurines for Beanz and Hoarder badge holders via Azuki collector profiles. Winners will be unveiled on Wednesday, November 8th. Badge holders can only win a maximum of 1 resin art toy in the draw. Possessing the Gus vinyl toy will continue to unveil more background tales of the blue Beanz.
