PVC resin is a raw material, while PVC vinyl toys represent a product technology using a type of paste resin, also known as fine powder.

PVC resin is used in toy making materials, which are somewhat soft and have very good characteristics. Generally used for making figurines, they are usually hollow, but there are also solid ones, which are more costly.

Resin is generally considered a normal metabolic product or secretion of plant tissue, often coexisting with volatile oils in the secretory cells, resin paths, or ducts of plants, especially in the ducts of the heartwood of perennial woody plants. It consists of a mixture of various components, usually an amorphous solid, with a slightly glossy surface, hard and brittle, with a few being semi-solid. Resins are insoluble in water and do not swell when absorbing water; they are soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform, and most organic solvents. When heated, they soften and eventually melt, burning with thick smoke and a distinctive aromatic or malodorous smell.

Resins are divided into natural resins and synthetic resins. Natural resins like rosin and benzoin are derived from natural plant secretions, while synthetic resins such as phenolic resin and polyvinyl chloride are manufactured through chemical synthesis. Resins are primarily used to make plastics and are also used in coatings, adhesives, and insulation materials. Natural resins are amorphous organic substances obtained from secretions of animals and plants in nature, such as rosin, amber, and shellac. Synthetic resins are resin products obtained from simple organic substances through chemical synthesis or from certain natural products through chemical reactions.
